Announces Early Closure of Schools and Colleges In March 2023: All schools and colleges along the route of today’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Lahore have been told to close early by the district civil administration.
In this case, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Commissioner of Lahore, sent out the order on Sunday, telling schools to close at noon.
PTI had said before that an election rally would be moved from Zaman Park to Data Darbar. The government has also told businesses along Circular Road to close.

Before, the government of Lahore said that March 11 would be a public holiday because it was the urs of the famous Sufi saint Madhu Lal Hussain.
In response, Punjab’s Home Department sent out a notice saying that March 11 would be a public holiday in the Lahore District.

Madhu Lal Hussain was a poet and Sufi saint who lived in the city of Lahore, which is now in Pakistan, in the 1600s. Muslims and Hindus in the area worship him because he is seen as a symbol of love and peace between different religions.
