Chahat Fateh Ali Khan is a new social media star, but his name should not be confused with the names of legendary Pakistani singers Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan or Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
His real name is Kashif Rana, and he says he is a singer, songwriter, and composer. He is 56 years old and works as a minicab driver in London.
He was born in 1966 in Lahore. Even though there isn’t much known about his family, what is known suggests that he is married.
When his song for the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL8) went viral last month, Chahat became a social media star overnight in Pakistan.

During the lockdown, Chahat not only did live Facebook sessions, but he also posted videos to his other social media accounts. He is now being asked to weddings because he is so well-known. “Mast Mast Sharabi,” “Tun Tuna Tun,” and “Pehli Wari Aj Ohno” are all well-known songs by him.
Chahat said in a recent interview with a local TV station, “I feel very honored.” I thank Allah because three of the six songs I’ve put out in the last six months have been hits.
